Pittsfield, MA – Mike Massery, the owner and head coach of The Infield, has been recognized as one of Berkshire Community College’s 2025 "40 Under Forty" honorees. This prestigious award highlights young professionals in the Berkshires who are making significant contributions to their communities through their work, leadership, and philanthropy.
As the driving force behind The Infield, Pittsfield’s premier indoor sports training facility, Massery has dedicated his career to providing athletes with top-notch coaching and resources to enhance their skills in baseball, softball, lacrosse, and soccer. His commitment to youth development has made The Infield a cornerstone for local athletes looking to excel in their sports.
As part of the 40 Under Forty recognition, each recipient is given the opportunity to donate $1,000 to a Berkshire-based nonprofit of their choice. Massery chose to support Baseball in the Berkshires, an organization committed to preserving and celebrating the region’s deep-rooted baseball history.
The Infield, located at 10 Lyman Street, Pittsfield, features state-of-the-art training facilities, including a 5,000 sq. ft. wood-surface arena and three 70-ft batting cages. The facility offers private instruction, batting cage rentals, arena rentals, sports leagues, camps, and event hosting.
Massery’s recognition is a testament to his impact on the Pittsfield sports community, not only through his business but also through his dedication to fostering the next generation of athletes.
